Fulfillment by Amazon for Magento

Description

This extension is a very powerful shipping automation solution, which provides a complete set of tools to integrate Amazon fulfillment into a Magento store. It’s not always reasonable businesswise to manage shipping by oneself, because of extra time and efforts it requires. In such cases the service called Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) comes to help. It manages all shipping and handling for you. All you need to do is send you merchandize to Amazon in bulk, and in advance. After that once you get an order – you pass it to Amazon and it takes care of the rest. Our Amazon fulfillment plugin does the automation of such order passing process. It tracks all purchases of store items marked as Fulfilled by Amazon, and sends all shipping information to Amazon automatically. Once an order is fulfilled, the module updates the stock within Magento to conform to stock value at Amazon.

Great Customer Service!
(Posted on Apr 09, 2014 by )

We've been in business since 2006 and we sell on eBay, Amazon and our own website. Recently we've switched from our own warehouse to Fulfillment by Amazon and as you can imagine, switching warehouses is a very big chore!
I'm a programmer myself and did a lot of research when trying to find the functionality that we needed. This extension looked very promising, but was still in beta. We waited patiently as we went about doing other business related tasks and it was finally released. As soon as it was released in production, we purchased and installed it.
I will outline the two errors that we have had and how they were handled by Webtex:
First, we noticed that when we tried to export all of our products, it gave us a warning. The export still worked perfectly but the warning was still somewhat disconcerting. We contacted the developer and he fixed it right away for us (I think it was a misnamed column that we didn't actually need).
Then, when the first couple of orders came in, the requests were being put in the queue, but weren't being processed (they said they were being throttled). Again we contacted Webtex and they fixed it right away without any hassle on our part. The orders are now synced with Amazon and it's working perfectly!
Everything is working flawlessly now, and I'm excited to see how it works when we start up our full advertising campaign again. I do admit, it's still a new extension and it's possible that we might have a couple more bumps... but I'm very confident that Webtex will be behind us 100% because they've been very helpful and supportive as we've begun implementing their extension.
I would recommend this extension to anyone because I feel like it's becoming more and more stable each day. I wrote this review on July 25, 2013 so if you're reading this after a few weeks/months it should be good to go!
In case you're wondering, I'm running Magento version 1.7.0.2 on Apache Linux (64bit) which is running PHP 5.3 and MySQL 5.1.

Great extension, greater customer support
(Posted on Apr 09, 2014 by )

This is exactly what we were looking for at rokitboost.com.. We love this extension. But the better part of the story is that when we contacted customer support to request their help, they replied in less than 5 minutes, started working on the issue right away and fixed it..
Highly recommended!

Working with Extension

  1. Extension's Configuration Settings

To edit module's settings navigate to System→Configuration→Webtex→Fulfillment by Amazon. There you will find options, reflected on Screenshot 1.

    • Access Key ID, Secret Access Key: this information is provided by Amazon.
    • Check Qty from: here you should choose how to track inventory: by Magento standard means, or regularly retrieve it from Amazon. If 'Amazon' option has been chosen, then a Qty check frequency field appears, where you can choose how often you’d like the stock to be synchronized.
  2. Extension's Shipping Settings

To edit extension's shipping settings navigate to System→Configuration→Fulfillment by Amazon Shipping. There you will find options, reflected on Screenshot 2.

    • Standard Shipping, Expedited Shipping, Priority Shipping sections represent three types of shipping that Amazon offers with FBA service. You can use all three, or disable any of them, or make one of them the default.
    • In Shipping price rulessection you can create any number of price rules for shipping. Amazon doesn’t provide shipping prices automatically, so you need to create your own shipping prices. You can, say, create a fixed price shipping by specifying weight interval as 0-99999. Or you could create weight dependent price rules, as reflected on the screenshot above. These rules will be applied to the order during checkout.
Note that weight units and price currency are used the same as specified in Magento configuration.
  3. Extension's Product Settings

Each product that needs to be shipped through Amazon, needs to be marked as such. To accomplish that, a corresponding checkbox needs to be checked on Fulfillment by Amazon section on product page (see Screenshot 3).
