Baby Gift Registry extension enables your customers to create a user-friendly Baby Gift List within your store. Baby Registry is a particular type of wishlist, which gives a registry owner an ability to inform his guests about the presents he wants to receive for his Baby Shower.
This extension is intended to bring a large amount of buyers to your store at a time. This is how it works:

- Future parents create a baby gift list on your store and add a whole bunch of your products to their registry.
- They send out invitations to this registry to all of their family members and friends directly from your store.
- Family members and friends then come to your store and buy everything from that Baby List.

I rarely leave reviews for products but I said I would make an exception in this particular case based on the level of support we recieved.
We purchased this plugin to go with our new store and had a custom theme, installation was a breeze until we discovered our theme had some custom modifications that affected the plugin.
We emailed support and got a reply back from Alex in a couple of hours assuring us that the problem would be fixed and true to his word ALL the bugs we had discovered (in our theme not the plugin) were fixed and our plugin was working perfectly.
I give you guys 5 stars for support and professionalism as it was nice to find someone who stuck to their word and stood over their product.

We've renamed it to "Wunschliste" (wishlist) but keep the Magento wishlist by renaming it to "Merkzettel" (notepad). So customers can have a really working wishlist for spreading their wishes whilst there is still a easy to handle notepad function (the former Magento wishlist) just for their own records.
Thumbs up for the great support which was fast and effective.
Btw.: If you like to fiddle with your list.phtml and view.phtml files (who does not?) pls. note that they (and some others) are overridden by phtml files in the babyregistry folder. -

I'm very happy with my shop's new baby registry. Looks and works great! They worked with my original design and had it up and running in no time with out shutting down my shop. Pleasure to work with and very patient when it comes to a client who wants everything to be perfect. I also recommend them for other customizations. -
I had MagExtension install their Baby Registry extension on my site and I couldn't be more pleased... It's much more reasonably priced that similar extensions where you pay per product and in my opinion it's usability is much better than competing extensions... I'm not affiliated with them in no way... Im just a happy customer who has been burnt by other developers. If your looking for a registry solution for your site or even a custom extension... give these guys a call...

Working with Extension
Baby Registry Front-end (the way a registry owner sees it)
After the extension is installed, a new link "Baby Registry" will appear in the upper left navigation (assuming your layout is similar to Magento standard theme): Screenshot 1
When a user hovers this link, a pop-up will appear, that will let him to search for a registry or to create/view his own baby gift list.
On the "Create Baby Registry" page user will be able to add all necessary information concerning this registry:
- Mother name and email
- Father mane and email
- Baby expected arrival date
- Baby shower date
- A personal message for the guests that will appear on the baby registry page
- Event location
- Shipping address for presents
- Family photo that will appear on the baby registry page

After a baby shower registry is created, user will need to add products to it. By each product on catalog and product pages there will appear a link saying "Add to Baby Registry". When user clicks on this link, the product is being added to his registry without leaving the current page. And the link "Add to Baby Registry" turns into green text saying "Added to Baby Registry".
On the registry page user will be able to manage the list of the products he selected:
- See number of selected and number of purchased items
- Remove unwanted items
- Choose priority for each item
- Add some comment for each item
- Change "Desired" and "Received" fields for each product
- Add any product to cart
On the registry page there are following links:
- "Registry Information"
On this page user will be able to see and edit all his registry information. Also that page contains "Delete Registry" button. - "Tell About Your Registry"
Through this page user may sent an e-mail to everyone who he wants to inform about his registry. - "Guest's View Of Your Registry"
Registry page in a way registry owner's guests will see it.

Baby Registry Front-end (the way a registry guest sees it)
On Screenshot 4 you can see a registry page. It contains all the info about selected baby registry, and also a list of products, chosen by registry owner.

To see information on existing baby gift registries, navigate to the following page in Admin Panel: Customers→Baby Registries. There you'll find a list of all registries, created by store users (Screenshot 5).
When selecting a particular registry, a list of products from this registry will appear (Screenshot 6).
“Purchased” field represents the actual amount of items purchase from that store. If you click on a product, a page with a list of corresponding orders will appear (in case “Purchased” amount is not zero): Screenshot 7
